I keep my skills sharp and learn new skills using the online training at Lynda.com.
This morning I completed a great tutorial by Chris Meyer on using FCP to give video a filmic glow. Awesome stuff.

For Module 4 in COM 635 we are asked to start with HD video and use the compression codec H.264 for a file output size of 320 X 180.
I used FCP to edit and then exported to a dot mov file keeping the HD size. I then opened that file in QuickTime Pro and exported the move using H.264 compression.
Today I got an email from my university telling me I can put this badge on my Web site. I love this. This is a great way to advertise and show school pride.
